Police declare Obodo Odogwu Omonigho wanted over violent protest

Delta State Police Command has declared one Obodo Odogwu Omonigho Wanted over his involvement in violent protest.
In a press release signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP. Bright Edafe identified Omonigho, who is about 5.6 inches tall, dark in complexion and hails from the Agbaro community in Ugheli North Local Government Area of Delta State, to be among the gang leaders that orchestrated the “End Bad Government in the Ugheli North.
The statement also said Omonigho allegedly hijacked the supposed peaceful protest on its second day with his gang members to turn the event into a monstrous situation by attacking vehicles and looting commercial businesses.

A situation led the security operatives to fire back tear gas shells to disperse protesters and gunshots that led to the death of about 5 victims.
It added that Omonigho also committed a crime by flouting the court order over restricted areas and also disregarded the Nigeria President, Bola Tinubu, and the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwore appeals for the protest organisers to shelve the plan while urging them to be patient as the event might cause more harm than good.
Meanwhile, report from rights group Amnesty International’s Nigeria head said at least 20 protesters had been killed, and more than 300 arrested.
However, the police urged members of the public with useful information on the whereabouts of the fleeing Obodo Odogwu Omonigho to report to the nearest police station.
